About Us
Our Mission
The Canadian Angel Investment Foundation, founded in 2019, is a not-for-profit organization, aiming to support the next generation of startups and investors. While providing programs that can help startup companies reach the next level, we also aim to foster the next generation of investors through education and opportunities sharing.
Since our inception, we emphasized on educating the next generation of investors and startup companies. To further support our mission, in 2021, we introduced three programs – loan financing, grants and investor inner circle. These programs enable companies access to funds without giving up equity which includes Canadian government grants and non-dilutive financing supported by investors. Investor Inner Circle is a sharing platform for prescreened investment opportunities which are loan-focus.

Jane Fung
Founding Member, VP of Business Development
Jane Fung is one of the founding members for Canadian Angel Investment Foundation. Jane has two decades of technology and industry experiences with exceptional capabilities to work with technology companies. Jane is an angel investor and a seasoned real estate investor. She had experience in carrying out land development projects. Jane had always been an active volunteer; she volunteered in Keiretsu Forum Canada and also EcoWatch Canada. Nelson Yeung
Founding Member, VP of Business Consulting
Nelson is a result-oriented entrepreneur and senior executive with jack of all trades such as agile business project management, strategic business and start-up development, online marketing, process engineering, strategic technology automation and enablement, people management and outsourcing. He also has a passion in giving back to the community and actively involved in different NPO and charity organization.
Chris Mak
VP of Public Relations
Having studied as an engineer, he worked in various capacities such as technical consulting, project management and skills enablement. He has served each client by relating the value of technology to solving a business problem. Chris draws on his wealth of experience over 20 years creating innovative ideas, and using his expert technology skills to architect leading edge solutions. Doris Zhang
Marketing Expert Advisor
Doris is a Marketing Coordinator at Eden College. Before coming to Canada, Doris spent six years as a Sales Manager and Account Director for Media and Advertising companies in China. After a successful career helping clients with marketing strategy and brand promotion, Doris now helps Eden College reach more market shares in the Beauty Industry. Doris is a cat-lover who enjoys traveling and cooking. Doris is available for marketing projects.
Victor Wu
Entrepreneur in Residence
Victor has joined the CAIF team since July 2020 as a Entrepreneur in Residence. Outside of CAIF, he practices as a registered Kinesiologist with a focus in musculoskeletal health prevention and rehabilitation. He is also an entrepreneur with a passion for the integration of health IT into primary care.
Kevin Pan
Venture Capital Advisor
Kevin has over two decades of experience in the venture capital and investment banking. He spent 7 years with the China International Capital Corporation focusing on global IPOs and M&As. After an investment banking career, he became a venture capitalist for over 14 years as the Managing Director of Sequoia Capital China, a Chinese operation of the global premium-brand venture capital firm. Kevin has also served on the board for dozens of innovative companies, helping them on various aspects which include strategic decision making, daily management and backing them on their IPO.
Ramesh Alladi
Associate
Ramesh Alladi has joined the CAIF team as an Associate. Ramesh graduated with M.S in Engineering (U.S.A) in 2015 and had worked in Information Technology for more than 3 years. He has experience with various databases, ETL and reporting tools. He is currently pursuing MBA in Investment Management at Concordia University. He is interested in Finance and work in this Industry where he can utilize his technical skills. He is focused on what he does and likes to work in a team.
Maggie Hu
Associate
Maggie Hu has joined the CAIF team as a Business Development Intern who assists with business development of the foundation. Maggie Hu has business degrees from both China and Canada. Before coming to Canada, she obtained Bachelor of Business Administration from Chinese University of Hong Kong. She committed herself in working in different industries ranging from banking to consulting. In September 2019, Maggie began her Master of Financial Accountabilities at York University (Toronto, Canada). Currently, she is a CFA Level I and CPA Canada candidate in Ontario.
Leo Tran
Web Developer
Leo joined the CAIF team as a Web Developer who is currently pursuing a computer science degree at York University.
