A Hybrid Incubator–Accelerator
Not an Angel Group
Founded in 2019, CAIF is a Canadian non-profit focused on developing founders and startups, not running an angel fund. We combine incubation (idea development and validation) with acceleration (structured programs and investor readiness) to help early-stage ventures grow.
Instead of managing a single angel group, we work with a network of angel groups, super angels, and capital partners across Canada and internationally. Our role is to make startups “funding-ready” and help them connect to the right capital at the right time.
Along the way, we also foster the next generation of investors through education, curated deal flow, and co-investment opportunities.

We help founders validate the problem, refine the solution, build a basic business model, and test early traction. This is ideal for very early-stage, pre-revenue concepts.
Phase 3
Accelerate the Venture
Through structured cohorts, mentoring, and strategic support, we help startups build a fundable story, sharpen their go-to-market, and prepare for investor conversations and pitch events.
Phase 4
Connect to Capital
We do not run our own angel group. Instead, we connect selected startups to our network of angel groups, super angels, and non-dilutive financing programs, including government grants and loans.
